Brief Profile
Linda Ama Owusuaa Amoah (PhD) is a Research Scientist at CSIR-Animal Research Institute. She is a University of Ghana-Carnegie scholar, with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Applied Parasitology and a Master of Philosophy degree in Parasitology, both from the University of Ghana. Her research interests primarily focus on Neglected Tropical Diseases and Zoonotic diseases of public health and veterinary importance, using the One Health approach. Linda also has experience collaborating with other Scientists on various social science studies and consultancies.
With a strong background in research, Linda has served in various roles, such as a field enumerator, research assistant, researcher, and principal investigator on many research projects. She has had several soft and hard skills training from the Pan-African Doctoral Academy (PADA), Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR), West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens (WACCBIP), and other top-notch institutions. The various training has equipped her with the essential competencies and skills required to excel in her current position.
In addition to her research expertise, Linda has several years of experience in teaching students with diverse backgrounds over the years. She is also good with statistical tools, such as SPSS, for data analysis. Linda is a highly motivated individual, achievement-driven and a great team player.
