RESEARCH

Research Interests
  • Institutions and Development
  • Livestock Economics
  • Micro-econometric analysis
  • Experimental Economics
  • Market Studies, value chain analysis and cluster develoment

  • Current Research
My research generally focuses on the analyses of economic issues pertaining to the livestock industry. Specifically, I study the role of institutions (rules of the game, and governance) on the efficient functioning of various components of livestock production systems and value chains. I employ experimental economics and survey techniques to collect data and analyse them using mainly micro-econometric methods. Also, I have been conducting financial feasibility studies on various livestock business initiatives, the adoption of livestock technologies, and the impact of these technologies on the livelihoods of people.

    Current Projects
  • KOPIA Ghana – CSIR-ARI ARIBRO Project (February, 2019 – January, 2022)
  • Financial feasibility of semi-intensive small and large ruminant production in Ghana
